The actors embraced at the launch of LA Collab at the Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory in Los Angeles on Jan. 13. The non-profit initiative from Mayor Eric Garcetti, mitú founder Beatriz Acevedo and AEM president Ivette Rodriguez aims to connect Latinx executives, talent and creators in order to double Latino representation in the entertainment industry by 2030.

On Dec. 5, the couple's Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, an organization improving the lives of kids and families in the SF Bay Area, announced its partnership with No Kid Hungry, a national campaign to end childhood hunger in America, that hopes to address childhood hunger in Oakland and all across the U.S. To kick off the partnership, Eat. Learn. Play. will match every donation made to No Kid Hungry to help provide up to 2.5 million meals.The ultimate goal is to raise 10 million meals for hungry kids by Dec. 31.
ANNA WINTOUR & TOM FORD ARE CREATING
A FASHION RESCUE FUND
They are repurposing the money from an existing award to help the industry get through the pandemic.
A Common Thread is a “fund-raising initiative supporting those in the American fashion community who have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic,” according to a news release from Vogue and the CFDA. Through it, cash-strapped designers and manufacturers will be able to apply for funding to help them through the period in which their businesses have been effectively shuttered by government decree.
