Resort Fashion Vibe: MOD

MOD Resort Fashion 22/23

 Vibe: MOD

Bright. Bold. Unstoppable.

Reflective of Cher, Diana Ross and on set at The Whisky a Go Go.
When oversized flowy geo fabrics and thigh high boots were part of
everyday life.
This is an array of current designers that have created moods of retro glam to mega MOD for late this year into 2023.

Roberto Cavalli: A Look Back

Roberto Cavalli:

A Look Back

From the 2016 | 2017 RTW Collections

Still resonating after many years.

"Mixing high glamour with a bold sensuality, these particular collections have never left my mind. Not often does a designer throw in a wild card with such impact. Known for his off the shoulder gowns, animal prints, knit cocktail dresses, resort wear and gold strappy heels, Roberto Cavalli's 2016-'17 Spring designs surprisingly hit mainstream which I had been envisioning all along.

Cavalli has found a way to weave several retro fashion styles into his own designs without looking forced or outdated. These particular 2016/'17 shows actually took me back to the 70's where Rock & Roll stars began to guide the fashion industry- not the designers; with patchwork silks, neck scarves, suede boots, flowy kaftans, hipster jeans, chunky heels, velvet jackets and sexy midriff styles as if Cher and Janis Joplin secretly merged their wardrobes.

And did you know? The world of RC has luxury home accessories? The denim revolutionaire and "Animalier" still roars with his Italian street glam all the way to The Oscars.

-A few of my favorite Cavalli 2016-'17 looks".
